Today we handed over the first 2 intensive care transport vehicles (ITW) to IVD – Intensivverlegungsdienst Mitteldeutschland gGmbH. The vehicles, based on the MB Sprinter 519 CDI extra-long, with high roof and 2 sliding doors, are equipped up to the roof with medical equipment required for intensive care transfer trips. Numerous storage compartments offer space for consumables and other equipment.
The doctor’s seat positioned at the head end of the patient with headrest, 3-point automatic safety belt and seat heating from Schnierle can be moved, rotated and locked in the direction of travel. Next to the patient, on the right side wall, is a folding and rotating attendant seat with armrest and integrated 3-point automatic safety belt and folding leg rest. A sliding door enables quick changeover between the driver’s compartment and the patient compartment. Behind the left sliding door are oxygen cylinders, the central electrical system and storage space for loading.
A powerload system from Stryker makes it easier to load and unload heavy-duty stretchers.
Long-range visibility is provided by 2 DBS 5000s from Hänsch and the HT-1 intersection strobe system from Standby.
We would like to thank you for your trust and wish you a safe journey and safe operations at all times!
