Today, we are presenting the prototypes of the state-wide collective procurement of emergency medical service vehicles (NEF) and transfer medical service vehicles (VEF) for the Schleswig-Holstein Association of Counties and Cities, or “NEF SH 2021” for short.

All 11 counties and four independent cities participated in this collective procurement, as in previous years.
The base vehicle for this is a Volkswagen T6.1 2.0l TDI 4Motion with 146 kW.

The warning system includes two DBS 5000 (front with flashers, auxiliary and power flashers, rear with flashers, auxiliary flashers, RWS and work lights) and the electric sound sequencing system from

Hänsch, a half warning bar HTB-1 at the front of the vehicle and the rear flasher L52 yellow/blue to secure the open tailgate from Standby GmbH. Additional acoustic warning is provided by a concealed and protected compressed air system with 4 flutes from Max B. Martin.
The special feature of this series is a completely newly planned user concept, which contains significant changes compared to the previous series. The changes consist mainly of:
– Newly adapted cabinet and storage space concept with indirect lighting
– Warming compartment and compressor cooler (autoclima)
– BTM locker
– Large side storage compartment behind sliding door on left with flexible adjustable dividers (not shown)
– Electronic seat belt detection for the additional seat (VanX by Hermann Schnierle GmbH)
– Variable medical equipment drawer for individual equipping of medical equipment
– Hygiene pull-out with disinfectant and towel dispenser, as well as waste garbage can
– BINZ recovery tool pull-out for loading on-board and additional material with storage surface and a maximum load capacity of 100kg.
– 230 V inverter with 800 W sine
– Electrical central control from Inomatic GmbH with various special functions such as automatic interruption of inverter in the event of an accident, forced switching of dipped headlights when blue lights are on, deactivation of start-stop device when blue lights are on, visual and audible fuse failure display with plain text function, automatic switchover city/rural acoustics via speed, speed-dependent switching off of working lights and reverse warning system, implementation of accident data memory UDS AT pro
– Integration of emergency start and engine run-on in original Volkswagen keypad
– And much more…
It was a great pleasure for us to develop and implement this very well thought-out concept together.
The first 3 vehicles go to the rescue service cooperation in Schleswig-Holstein (RKiSH) gGmbH.
Of course we will keep you informed about further vehicles of this series.
We wish you a safe journey and safe operations!
