This week the fire department Mainz received 2 new ELW1 based on Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 416 CDI RWD compact.
The warning system includes two DBS 4000s (front with additional flashers, rear with flashers and rear warning system), a cross-pull flashing system, and an electronic sound sequencing system from Hänsch. This is supplemented by a Martin system with 4 fanfares in the front bumper.
Despite the compact design, all the usual communication equipment in the ELW1 was arranged ergonomically and safely in the interior. The radio and central electrical system was installed in the technical room behind the left sliding door.
