BINZ RESCUBE with UVC disinfection system

The RESCUBE is one of the most modern ambulances with box body. With its ergonomically designed interior, sophisticated electronics and its user-friendly control panels, it offers a lot of added value for patients and rescue personnel.

Thanks to its internal aluminum skeleton construction, the outer and inner deck layer of 2mm, as well as a 42mm thick PU foam core, our box body offers the highest level of safety (DIN 13500) and comfort through optimal noise and heat insulation.

The optional electric closing aids for all doors and flaps of the box body offer particular convenience in use.

The profile-integrated blue light corners developed in cooperation with Hänsch guarantee 360° geometric visibility to achieve maximum warning effect all around. Additional modules such as working lights, rear warning system (RWS), position lights, direction indicators, tail lights and brake lights are included as standard.

Disinfection by BINZ.

The germicidal effect of ultraviolet light has been known for a long time – its use in cars seemed impossible until now: too high costs, too high energy requirements, an unsafe use of hazardous substances. BINZ is the first special vehicle manufacturer to present a solution for making this disinfection option also mobile.

Via the intelligent use of LEDs, it is possible to exclude the harmful substances for this process. Too high costs and too high energy demand got BINZ in the Griff. The mode of action is simplified: The UV-C radiation specifically penetrates the shells of the bacteria and also in the case of viruses up to the DNA, destroys their genetic material and thus makes reproduction impossible.

The highest disinfection effect is achieved at a wavelength of 265nm.

After less than 10 minutes, the entire interior – surfaces AND room air – is 99.99 percent free of viruses and germs.

From the recording in the independent test center, the efficiency of disinfection is evident. The light areas mark 100 percent disinfection, while the dark areas represent disinfection of “only” 99 percent. A result that could never be achieved with wipe disinfection.

The operation in the ambulance.

Without a doubt, you can’t do without removing in-kind debris in an RTW. But wipe disinfection between uses always means a not inconsiderable expenditure of time, which has a negative impact on the availability of the vehicle for subsequent uses.

The use of UV irradiation also offers the possibility of further reducing the microbiological load on the Oberflächen in the vehicle and thus preparing them for a longer shelf life.

The system can desinfiz the interior – while the vehicle is on its way to the mission or is in the post-processing phase between missions.

This results in a significant reduction in workload for cleaning personnel. Individual errors due to time and cost pressures can also be minimized in this way.

Advantages over conventional disinfection via mercury tubes at a glance:

  • Higher disinfection efficacy due to efficient tuning of wavelengths and a broader emission spectrum
  • High mechanical stability → no glass breakage, no mercury leakage.
  • Quickly switchable → no heating phase necessary
  • Very high surface radiance, free arrangement of LEDs as array possible → optimally adaptable spotlight geometry
  • Long service life with over 10,000 h
